Almost gave up on "Love", so I guess I almost gave up on you,

Forgive me for sharing this moment, even though it’s true,
Wondered if "Love" would show her gorgeous face,
After teasing in times past, as if it were a race,

A race to give and take away what I desired above all,
When she calls, I can never refuse,
Amnesia my thoughts, feeling I can’t lose,
As she reveals her heart, a gift I’m unworthy to receive,

This time’s different; I have her attention as she proceeds to talk,
Suggesting we meet up with "Destiny" and all take a walk,
Trusting my heart that this time she’ll stay,
Love from above has finally flowed my way,

Heard her arrival from across the abyss,
Connection so strong, the pull I could never resist,
Because all that I held before, I had to let go,
As I prepare to go deeper into depths unknown,

Stronger, as I feel the Sunshine through the rain,
Carry the world on my shoulders, just to give her shade,
Be her kinsman redeemer, as she renews my hope,
That "Love" is never lost or delay,
