Wonderful Woman

There's a patience forged through the years,
Steamed over sizzling coals of my disappoints.

Laid sightless to anyone and everyone,
As rain drops descend from my eyes,
Nurturing others, but leaves me dry.

Time breaks free from eternity,
Until that moment I saw you,
Everything's frozen, nothing moves.

My soul caught glimpses of your identity,
Undercover disguises mean little to me,
You were the last mystery, now revelation,
Suggest I move quietly, much hesitation,

Like snow falling from blue skies,
Gently rest in the crevices of my soul.
Her warmth for healing, damaged past sealing,

Never having to utter a single word,
I'll recognize her voice anyplace, at any time.
Silent I am, left speechless submersed in her glow.

Forever she breathes life into me when she speaks,
Because my soul already knows she's the one we seek.
