It's excruciating to see the graceful Queen who pleas,
Perfectly out of place and forgetting her position.
Scratching my head, I desire clarity to understand why,
Just why do lovely women love the wrong guy?
Men who flow rivers from their eyes,
Results of violating a soul they shouldn't have touched.
Yet have their attention set for another to invest,
But only share enough to keep you at rest.
Like cement blocks your heart won't roam,
Even when Love knocks and knocks, you'll never go.
And as your heart cries for him, I too cry for you,
Because I know all to well, what you're going through.
Looking at him, I wonder why you entertain,
But you look at her and ponder the same.
"I could love you better", you mumble these lines,
Unknowingly authored by my heart, if you were to find.
Romancing her, she receives prime time,
As you wait late and stay in line.
And he'll get upset if you were to do the same,
20 questions and want to know his name.
He doesn't mind sharing his attention,
But not enough to give his heart to listen.
You say you're just friends as a cover statement,
Just to have something to fall to, if things get shaky.
More so to keep your mind at ease,
And forget what your heart really needs.
Freedom to explore without contemptment,
but that's what also causes slight resentment.
As much as you like him, I wish you'd love me more,
I wouldn't hold back to open Love's door.
Games of chance, are no places for Love and Romance,
Because to love you correctly requires a full investment,
If he says he loves you, we know that's truly a lie,
But I wish you'll love you more and be by my side.
Like chest pieces, I'm trying to capture the Queen,
But I'll do it as a King, with no side pieces in between.
