Vol II : This Man: Why? (Phoenix Rising)

II. Why? (Phoenix Rising)

God, please forgive me if I wonder
If in creation you made a blunder
In my emotional development
Adapting me to any element
I often sit back and wonder why
I can no longer cry
About the things those others do
When my heart is equally as blue
They say recovery of the pain is needed
I’ve made attempts but never succeeded
Because in the morning when I rise
The pain I had, no longer resides
Is this a gift or is it a curse
To feel nothing would seem so much worst
I asked myself, if I really felt
The things I did, the things I’m dealt
To that answer brings a reply
They’re all real, so don’t deny
Am I broken or am I strong
Why is it so easy to carry on
So when emotions start to die
Like the Phoenix still they rise
Cause if I should fall in front of you
Who else will stand to inspire you?
